MARYLAND FLEET WEEK AND AIR SHOW BALTIMORE

WHERE:	Harborplace Amphitheater 201 East Pratt Street, Baltimore Rain location - Visit Baltimore Visitor Center 401 Light Street, Baltimore
WHAT:	The State of Maryland, Baltimore City, Baltimore County, the U.S. Navy and Historic Ships in Baltimore will host Maryland Fleet Week and Air Show Baltimore October 10 through 17, 2016. The event will include Baltimore’s largest air show featuring the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels; meet-and-greet opportunities with pilots; dozens of gray hulls, vessels and schooners from the U.S. and international navies; the commissioning of the USS ZUMWALT; free on-board public tours of ships; crew sporting competitions; a Chesapeake-inspired Seafood Festival; a family-friendly festival village; and more.
WHY:	To celebrate the rich naval traditions of the Chesapeake Bay and the contributions of Marylanders to the defense and prosperity of the nation; to educate travelers to specific components of the event; to invite visitors to the region during the event.
