The Beat Goes on During Maryland’s Summer of Music

The sounds of Maryland’s Summer of Music are sizzling with seven funky, fantastic festivals bringing down the house this month. Don’t miss the National Music Festival in Chestertown and the Chesapeake Chamber Music Festival in Easton and Oxford, both running through June 15. The Columbia Festival of the Arts brings 16 days of sensational sounds from June 14-30. Maryland Doom Fest brings the heavy heat to Frederick June 20-23, and the Jellyfish Festival combines extreme sports and killer tunes in Ocean City June 21-23. Dynamite Doings for Dads on Father’s Day

Father’s Day is here, and Maryland’s got just the ticket for Dad’s big day. Thrill to the OC Air Show featuring the U.S. Navy’s Blue Angels and the Canadian Armed Forces Snowbirds make a rare joint appearance. Party like it’s 1794 at the George Washington’s Whiskey Rebellion Festival in Cumberland. Or indulge in a bit of the Three B’s at the Beer, Bourbon and BBQ Festival at National Harbor. As the season heats up, don’t miss these super-cool film festivals.
