GOVERNOR LARRY HOGAN KICKS OFF MARYLAND WINE MONTH
WITH OFFICIAL TOAST AND PROCLAMATION PRESENTATION

In celebration of Maryland Wine Month in March, Governor Larry Hogan will offer an official toast and proclamation presentation on Thursday, March 1 at noon at Red Red Wine Bar in Annapolis. Governor Hogan will be joined by industry partners and officials in celebrating the state’s more than 80 wineries.
Maryland Wine Month is held annually as a partnership between the Maryland Wineries Association and Maryland Office of Tourism, a division of the Maryland Department of Commerce.

WHY: |
The month-long celebration will help fuel Maryland’s economy by attracting visitors, which leads to increased hotel bookings and spending at restaurants and wineries throughout the state. Wineries across Maryland are joining together to host the Wine Month Challenge and a Winemaker Series. In addition to special events, new wine releases and unique culinary pairings, several hotel packages are being offered with amenities including transportation to and from wineries, wine tastings and complimentary bottles of wine.
