Maryland Brewery Launches Online Beer Delivery Platform
Rockville’s True Respite Brewing Co. has launched an online platform to help brewers sell their products to customers during the COVID-19 outbreak. The new service called Biermi provides businesses with a direct-to-consumer solution for breweries while allowing beer lovers to shop local brewery selections from home. Said Brendan O'Leary, co-founder of True Respite, “We were watching what was happening with the pandemic in Italy, and it was like seeing into the future for the U.S. We realized the only way [for our business] to survive this was to go straight to consumers, so we made the jump.” In just over three weeks nearly six dozen breweries have gone live on Biermi, including 19 from Maryland, and the app has produced $220,000 in beer sales. Learn more about the free platform on biermi.com.
